Nervous System Regulation — Individual Online Programme (SSP)

Date: 01.01.2026 — 01.01.2027

Start anytime within this period

This is a guided 6-week individual online programme supporting nervous system regulation through Polyvagal-informed principles and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). It is designed for adults experiencing physiological stress or overload and is offered as a structured, non-medical, wellbeing-oriented process, suitable for clients in Dubai, the UAE, and internationally.

What this programme is about

This individual online programme offers structured, short-term nervous system support for people whose capacity for reflection, emotional regulation, or sustained engagement has become significantly strained. It is suitable for individuals living in Dubai, the UAE, and internationally, particularly within high-pressure, high-stimulation, or rapidly changing environments where nervous system overload can quietly accumulate.

The work focuses on nervous system regulation and on developing a clearer understanding of how the body responds to stress, safety, and relational cues. It is designed to support a more stable internal state in which attention, contact, and decision-making become more accessible over time.

How the programme is structured

The programme unfolds as a guided, time-limited individual process over six weeks. It combines:

  • structured listening sessions using the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
  • psychoeducational input grounded in Polyvagal-informed principles
  • somatic and grounding practices adapted to individual capacity
  • reflective dialogue to support integration and meaning-making

The pace of the work is personalised, with careful attention to nervous system tolerance, safety, and containment. This is not a self-paced course, but a supported individual process.

About the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a listening-based intervention that uses specially filtered music designed to support the nervous system’s capacity to shift toward states of safety, regulation, and social engagement.

The music is processed to emphasise frequencies involved in how the nervous system detects cues of safety in the environment. For some people, this can make states of calm attention, connection, and self-reflection more accessible, particularly when stress responses have become chronic or rigid.

SSP was developed by Unyte Health in collaboration with Dr Stephen Porges, the originator of Polyvagal Theory, and is supported by a growing body of research.

What you will experience

This programme is designed to support a gradual shift toward greater nervous system stability and capacity for engagement.

Participants often report:

  • increased access to calm, attentive states
  • reduced physiological tension and reactivity
  • greater tolerance for emotional and relational contact
  • improved capacity for reflection and decision-making
  • a clearer sense of internal rhythm and limits

The emphasis is not on pushing change, but on creating conditions in which regulation, orientation, and contact can emerge more naturally over time.

Who this programme is for

This programme may be appropriate for people who:

  • experience persistent physiological tension, stress, or anxiety
  • feel overwhelmed or depleted and need support restoring basic regulatory capacity
  • are parents of neurodivergent children seeking support with co-regulation
  • are professionals (therapists, coaches, educators) seeking personal nervous system support
  • want a short-term, structured intervention rather than open-ended therapy

The programme is particularly relevant for individuals living or working in international contexts, where sustained nervous system regulation is often challenged by pace, transition, and high cognitive demand.

It can be undertaken independently or alongside individual psychological consultation.
