Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between a client and a psychotherapist aimed at restoring mental and emotional well-being. It is an effective approach for managing elevated stress levels and providing support during challenging times.

Contrary to common misconceptions, seeking psychotherapy is not limited to individuals with severe mental illnesses. While psychiatrists address serious mental health disorders using medications, psychotherapists primarily work with individuals who are otherwise healthy but may be experiencing sadness, depression, feelings of helplessness, anxiety, fears, or difficulties in relationships. My practice is exclusively drug-free, focusing on therapeutic techniques and interventions that empower clients to overcome obstacles and lead more fulfilling lives.

Through the therapeutic process, clients often not only resolve their immediate challenges but also gain valuable skills to navigate future difficulties with resilience. Choosing to begin psychotherapy can be a transformative first step toward becoming the best version of yourself.

What I Treat

Most people seek my help when they are struggling with depression, anxiety, fear, panic attacks, or existential crises. My expertise also lies particularly in nervous system regulation, where I have developed specialized methods over years of practice that yield highly effective results.

I also work with individuals facing family and workplace challenges, as well as those exploring the psychology of money and its impact on their lives and decisions.

As a mother of a child with special needs, I have firsthand understanding of the difficulties parents of special children face. To support such parents, I offer individual therapy as well as group sessions.

Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that helps clients focus on the present moment, allowing them to understand what is happening in their lives right now rather than interpreting events through the lens of past experiences. It emphasizes the importance of living in the present, taking responsibility for one’s life, and addressing “unfinished tasks” that may create ongoing challenges.

A core component of Gestalt therapy involves exploring human needs and their fulfillment to promote continuous growth and personal development. This versatile approach can be tailored for short-term or long-term use, depending on the complexity of the issue and the client’s needs.

Gestalt therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals hesitant to seek psychotherapy, as it is compassionate, empathetic, and minimally intrusive. By fostering self-awareness and encouraging clients to take ownership of their experiences, it empowers them to achieve meaningful change and live more fulfilling lives.

How Therapy Works

Therapy begins with an initial meeting to assess whether there is a need for therapy and to identify the direction for resolving the issue. These consultations typically last 50–60 minutes. A full course of therapy generally involves at least 10 sessions. For optimal results, weekly consultations are recommended, which often span several months. In some cases, therapy may extend over several years, offering patients the opportunity to continuously improve their quality of life. For many, Gestalt therapy becomes an ongoing source of energy and resources.

Sessions can be conducted in person or remotely via Zoom. In addition to individual therapy, I also lead group seminars on topics such as psychotherapy, nervous system regulation and the psychology of money. Details on upcoming seminars can be found in the “Programs” section of this site.
